Edition No. 12 brings tactile material contrast into the Abstract Elements collection. Measuring 2.5 by 3.5 inches, this piece balances polished copper leaf against deep lapis lazuli pigment. The artwork functions as an architectural micro-study, reflecting ambient room light differently from every viewing angle.
Front Surface Texture and Pigment
The front display highlights reactive copper gilding allowed to oxidize naturally into soft verdigris tones. Matte blue washes surround the metallic elements, creating a striking visual tension between reflective metal and absorbative mineral paint. The 2.5 by 3.5 inch perimeter frames the bold geometric division of space.
Reverse Archival Markings and Stamp
The reverse face displays the raw cotton canvas grain tightly folded around custom miniature stretcher bars. The back includes handwritten catalog notes, pigment callouts, and the embossed studio emblem confirming its edition status. Clean wooden joinery ensures structural stability for wall display or resting on a small display easel.
